Teen Girls Anxiety Group

Develop the skills to navigate life.

Why make a teen skills group?

During the covid era, we’ve seen many teens girls experience social isolation, anxiety, depression, and other challenges that may affect their mental health and well-being and success in life.

We believe these effects can be reversed with a supportive and structured environment where teens can learn and practice skills with peers who share similar struggles in our group based on a well-researched and trusted therapeutic modality, dialectical behavior therapy.

What does the group cover?

Our group will primarily focus on improving anxiety along with a secondary focus on body image. Topics will include:

  • Gaining awareness of triggers and subsequent emotions

  • Escaping thought spirals

  • Gaining and utilizing coping skills

  • Improving self image

  • Grounding in truth

  • Managing emotions

  • Body acceptance and respect

About the group

Our group is designed for teenagers aged 13 through 17. The group meets once a week for 90-minute sessions in person for 8 weeks. The group is limited to 8 participants to provide a rich and personalized environment.

Each session consists of a check-in, a skills lesson, and a practice exercise. Teens will also receive homework assignments to practice the skills in their daily life.

Knowing how to effectively handle the stresses of life enables you to flourish.
