LeAnna Kievning
I am passionate about helping teens and women of all ages heal from eating and body image issues. I am also experienced in working with depression (including post-partum), anxiety, grief, trauma, addictions, life transitions, and faith exploration. I take a holistic mind-body-Spirit approach to healing, drawing deeply on the spiritual aspect as a path toward wholeness. I use various therapeutic modalities, including IFS, DBT, CBT, client centered, and somatic based approaches, to foster this connection.
I support the Health At Every Size® and Intuitive Eating philosophies, promoting a compassionate approach to health and well-being that prioritizes self-care over weight. When working with disordered eating, I find it most effective to work as part of a dedicated team with an eating disorder-specialized dietitian and doctor, providing comprehensive care to support each client's unique journey.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, especially at the beach, watching movies, or playing games. I also love singing on the worship team at my church, and enjoying stand-up comedy.
My educational background is:
MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from JFK University
IFS-Informed Therapist
Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator
Levels 1-4 Core Courses in Eating Disorders Training by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP)
ACE Certified Behavior Change Specialist
