Brian received his MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Southern University, and BS in Psychology from CSU Hayward (East Bay).  He realized his passion for psychotherapy during a full career in law enforcement while working with survivors of violent crime, families in crisis and the seriously mentally ill in the community.  He is also a US Army veteran, serves as a Care Pastor with Cornerstone Fellowship in Livermore, and is a Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Chaplain. 

Brian has experience working with teens, adults, families and groups in community, county and faith-based settings.  He has received additional training in Gottman Method Couple’s Therapy and treating PTSD.  He is also a certified facilitator for both the Prepare-Enrich premarital program, and The Parent Project which helps families change destructive adolescent behavior.  He believes in taking a collaborative, strengths-based approach with his clients and uses a variety of techniques to help them find hope and healing as they achieve their goals.  Brian has been married for 30 years and has two adult children.  He values his faith, family and fly fishing the streams of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
