Julie previously worked at a community health center in Chicago, IL, focusing on adult individuals, couples, crisis intervention, transitional life skills, and MISA (Mentally ill/ Substance abuse) groups. Julie has counseled and taught life skills to women at the Teen Challenge Women’s Center in San Jose, helping them work toward recovery from addiction and the restoration of families. She currently volunteers at SonRise Equestrian Center, working with youth living with social, emotional, or physical challenges, including terminal illness.
Julie has been trained in a wide range of both short and long-term therapeutic modalities. She believes in a holistic, encouraging, and collaborative approach to therapy.
