I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT46558) and have been with CPCC since 2005. I believe that effective therapy begins with the client. I consider the client to be the expert on what is working and not working in life and relationships. I see effective therapy as a collaborative work between the therapist and client to restore peace and well being to life and relationships.
Here are some of my areas of interest:
Restoring peace in individuals, couples and families impacted by anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, anger, or learning disabilities
Applying approaches like EMDR, Mindfulness and Redecision Therapy to the treatment of trauma related problems, including healing from physical, emotional, sexual and spiritual abuse, recovering from traumatic events and moving through grief and loss.
Working with couples to improve communication, reduce conflict and increase intimacy
Addressing issues of diversity including challenges faced by Asian American individuals and families.
Supporting individuals and families dealing with sexual orientation and gender identity in the context of a faith community.
Supporting and caring for people in ministry and their families
Addressing the challenges of life transitions and aging
